Your Majesty the Queen of UK
May it please Your Majesty for me to draw your attention to the above mentioned subject matter.
Your Majesty, it is exactly 56 years since Uganda attained its so called independence. This year's independence anniversary is marked amidst heightened regrets by citizens for having attained the so called independence.
Your Majesty, since 1962 the country has witnessed the systematic destruction of the solid foundation that had been laid by the UK in areas of education, health, communication infrastructure and nation building in general. Quality education is for the few rich ones. Health services are appalling with mothers delivering on the roadside, operating theatres use torches as the source of light, the only viable health facilities are those built by the church during the colonial days. Those that were adopted by the government are in an appalling state.
Your Majesty, the only airport and electricity dam that were constructed by the colonial government still stand but can't withstand the pressure from the ever growing population. The only railway line that was built by the colonial government collapsed and there is no train service in Uganda. Despite the favourably God given climate, the cash crops like coffee, cotton and tea that had been introduced and promoted by the colonial government are no longer a national pride. Not to mention the once booming Kilembe copper mines. The population is swimming in terrible poverty.
Your Majesty, the only semblance of sustained development that was initiated by the Iddi Amin government was destroyed by the emergence of a Marxist oriented ruler who has held onto power for the last 32 years. The only achievement he has to show is the building of a regime army that has not only caused mayhem at home but in the entire region. He is mortgaging the country to China through reckless borrowing for substandard infrastructure.
Your Majesty, the national economy is sustained by external borrowing, remittances from economic migrants, pillaging from neighboring countries and export of citizens into slavery to the Middle East. Tourism is unsustainable owing to insecurity in the country. In the Queen Elizabeth National Park, soldiers grab Buffalo carcasses from lions for their own meals. The anticipated oil production is already owned by the Museveni family, friends and in-laws.
Your Majesty, in order to conceal their failures, these Marxists continue to deceive their citizens that their wealth was stolen by the colonial government. However, at the same time, for them, their families, friends and in-laws continue to seek better education and health services as well as hiding their ill gotten wealth in the same western countries that they bash.
Your Majesty, the most painful episode involves the level of brutality against citizens who dare to raise a voice against gross injustice. As you are aware, Uganda gained its independence peacefully. Citizens never witnessed the so called evils of colonialism but steady social, economic and political progress. The magnitude of brutality characterized by killings, maiming, exiling, curtailing of freedom, pillaging of national resources etc experienced since October 1962 has left citizens debating the viability of the so-called independence.
Your Majesty, it is that appalling social, economic and political mismanagement that accounts for the tens of thousands of black Africans perishing on the Mediterranean sea trying to reach Europe.
INFORMATION IS POWER AND THE PROBLEM OF UGANDA IS MUSEVENISM
